LOGOS

Our primary logo is an evolved version of our previous logo. Maintaining the core idea with our iconic tree at the heart and centre, with a new application featuring multi coloured leaves, a new font as well as incorporating the date our school was established, the new iteration is more dynamic and diverse, full of energy. The ‘Roundel’ logo is to be used in wherever possible; inward and communications.

ALTERNATIVE LOGO

Our alternative logo is a more expressive format with intentions of being used mainly for official communications as well as partnerships and schemes where Alfred Salter is positioned as a partner. The logo could also be used for incentives that are only communicated to the parent or other organisation.

HOUSE LOGOS

Using the template of the original logo, we have created a way to define each house team using original colours inspired by the colours featured on the leaves of Alfred Salter’s logo. Each logo is specified to be unique to each house. This has been executed by considering a unique placement of the tree on each logo to signify the stand-out all four houses.

FONTS

We have two fonts and they have been selected carefully to work together as a complementary pair - giving expression, meaning and clarity to the written word.

(Regular, Medium, Bold)

This is our main font which you will use for long text. It comes in 3 different weights which can be used as required to embellish the text, adding emphasis and variation. Poppins is an open, geometric font that’s easy to read on paper and on screen.

Poppins

This is the ‘expressive’ headline font, it is a variation of the font used to create the logo. It comes in weight and works best in Sentence Case.

patterns

At the centre of the Alfred Salter brand visual identity is the diverse, dynamic and energetic rainbow leaf terrazzo pattern.

COLOURS

Fresh approach: With a Blank Canvas White as a base, add colour as accents in a bold dynamic way - this style should be used more generally across most applications

Bolder the better: With a colour a base you can layer the other colours over the top to create something very expressive and striking - an example application would be a title slide within a presentation.
